When Is AfroFuture Detroit 2026?
Not announced yet, and that is the honest answer. As of July 10, 2026, the official AfroFuture events page lists no Detroit 2026 dates, and the brand’s confirmed 2026 events so far are The Homage concerts in New York and Washington, D.C., held in May.

Where Is AfroFuture Detroit Held?
The 2025 festival took over Bedrock’s Douglass Site in Brush Park, at Alfred Street and Beaubien Boulevard, with the entrance at Beaubien and Winder Street. The open-air site sits just north of downtown, walkable from the QLine and a short ride from Eastern Market and midtown.
The location mattered as much as the lineup. The Douglass Site is the former Brewster-Douglass public housing land, and filling it with a global Black music festival was a statement about what comes next for that ground.

AfroFuture began in Accra, Ghana, and picked Detroit for its United States debut over every coastal contender. The reasons are the city’s Black musical lineage, from Motown to techno, and a partnership with Bedrock that gave the festival a signature downtown-adjacent site.
