Apple is officially opening its first retail store in the city of Detroit. Located at 1430 Woodward Avenue next to the Shinola Hotel, the Downtown Detroit Apple Store will open its doors at 5 p.m. on Friday, September 19 .
The timing coincides with the launch of the new iPhone 17, giving Detroit customers the chance to be among the first to purchase it locally .
