Oakland County is investing in its future by supporting the next generation of innovators and change-makers. In partnership with Leadership Oakland, the county has launched the fourth round of the Acorn2Oak Mini-Grant Program, offering $1,000 grants to youth pursuing creative and impactful projects.
This opportunity is open to Oakland County residents ages 8 to 18 who are working on a project or idea in one of four categories:
What Types of Projects Are Eligible?
- Business & Entrepreneurial Development
Youth building a business, launching a product, or exploring a new entrepreneurial venture. - Community Impact
Projects that address local needs or uplift the community through volunteering or social initiatives. - Educational Achievement
Initiatives focused on academic growth, learning, or educational outreach. - Extracurricular Investment
Creative efforts or investments in sports, music, art, or other out-of-school activities.
Who Can Apply?
- Applicants must be between 8 and 18 years old
- Must be a resident of Oakland County, Michigan
- Must have a clear idea or existing project that fits one of the four categories
How to Apply for the Acorn2Oak Grant
