The Woodward Dream Cruise is a staple event in Metro Detroit, known as the world’s largest one-day automotive celebration. Every year in August, more than a million car enthusiasts and over 40,000 classic cars gather along Woodward Avenue to celebrate Detroit’s rich automotive history. What started in 1995 as a small fundraiser for a local soccer field has grown into an international event, drawing participants and spectators from across the U.S., Canada, and even as far as Australia and Japan.
The event is a showcase of all things automotive, with vintage cars, hot rods, muscle cars, and modern performance vehicles cruising up and down Woodward Avenue. Communities along the route, including Ferndale, Royal Oak, and Birmingham, host various related events like parades, car shows, and live music.
This year, Ford had an impressive lineup at the event, featuring displays like Mustang Alley, where Ford enthusiasts could see some of the most iconic models in the brand’s history. Highlights also included the Ford Performance Lineup Display and the Bronco Nation Gathering, giving attendees an up-close look at Ford’s latest and greatest vehicles. In addition to these displays, visitors had the unique opportunity to test drive the latest models, making it an interactive experience for auto lovers.
