Pratt Miller Earns Podium at Detroit Grand Prix 2025
The streets of Detroit came alive for the 2025 Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix Presented by Lear. All eyes were on Pratt Miller Motorsports as they rolled into their home race weekend with two Corvette Z06 GT3.R entries. Based in New Hudson, Michigan, the team arrived with a mission. Their performance gave local fans a weekend to remember.

With the event taking place from May 30 through June 1, this year’s Grand Prix featured intense action, community pride, and a podium finish that showed why Pratt Miller remains a leader in GTD Pro competition.
No. 3 Corvette Secures Second Place
Saturday’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race delivered the highlight of the weekend. Antonio García and Alexander Sims drove the No. 3 Corvette to a strong second-place finish in the GTD Pro class. They started from eighth on the grid and climbed through the field with smart strategy and confident driving.
The pit crew kept stops fast and clean. Engineers made sharp calls throughout the race. García and Sims held their focus and pace. Their effort paid off with a well-deserved podium.

A Tough Race for the No. 4 Corvette
Tommy Milner and Nicky Catsburg shared driving duties in the No. 4 Corvette. The team faced early contact during the race. Later, a drive-through penalty was issued for contact with the No. 77 Porsche. Despite these setbacks, they stayed focused. The pair worked hard to recover and crossed the line in sixth place in the GTD Pro class.
Even though the result fell short of the podium, the team’s determination stood out. Their work kept them competitive in a challenging field.

Hometown Energy Powered the Weekend
The Detroit Grand Prix feels personal for Pratt Miller. With their headquarters just outside the city, racing at home brings added excitement. This was a chance to compete in front of family, friends, and loyal supporters.

Supporters filled the grandstands and lined the paddock. Corvette Racing merchandise was everywhere. Fans cheered every pit stop and pass. The home crowd’s energy lifted the team throughout the weekend.

Strong Leadership and Teamwork
Team Manager Ben Bode has been with Pratt Miller since 2011. He began his career as an aerodynamic engineer. Today, he leads one of the most respected programs in GT racing.
Under Bode’s leadership, the team ran like a well-oiled machine. Engineers tracked live data in real time. Pit crews executed with precision. Every department played a role in pushing both Corvettes to the finish.

More Than a Race
This weekend was about more than competition. It was a celebration of motorsports in Michigan. It brought the community together to support local excellence. Fans connected with the drivers, the cars, and the story behind the team.
Every interaction, from photo ops to autograph sessions, reminded people why motorsports continues to thrive in Detroit.
